THE JOURNEY

GRADUATION

After an amazing four year, university student athlete experience at Memorial. Alpha, on the 31st of May 2017, graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a minor in Geography. What a journey it was for him. Countless hours in classes and gyms he spent perfecting his craft.

Coming from a different continent distant from family, maturing was clearly not an option he was given. Challenges and obstacles along the way helped him grow and shaped him to the individual he is today. 

He is certainly not proud with a number of decisions that he made and he definitely could have done better. Multiple times he felt like giving up and questioned if it was all worth it. But the thing he admired most about himself was the fact that he never gave up no matter the circumstances.

Fortunate enough to be brought up in a love and caring family is all he could have wished for in life. Supporting parents, siblings, close friends and mentors that guaranteed had his back no matter what.

He couldn’t thank enough, Memorial university; specifically Memorial university athletics for all that they did for him, not forgetting coach Peter Benoite who made this all possible in the first place and his hometown coach/mentor Bahati Mgunda.

All the memories, good and bad, laughs and tears; surely he will keep and cherish for the rest of his life.
